Plan to have 30 minutes available to complete the online appointment, with some flexibility before and after to accommodate for getting familiar with the technology or any minor wait times. We encourage you to have a caregiver join you, if possible. Here's how it works.
1. Video technology lets you have a private, real-time conversation with a transplant surgeon and nurse coordinator at AdventHealth Transplant Institute.
2. Our providers will interact with you via desktop computer with a camera and speakers, tablet with camera and speakers or a smartphone. You must have wifi or internet for your device to work.
3. The provider will discuss everything needed to ensure that your transplant journey stays on course.
4. We encourage you to ask questions, just as you would in an in-person appointment. The coordinator will become your main point of contact for additional questions throughout this time.
